My name and how to pronounce it with John Siracusa:
My name is Anže Tomić and this is an interview podcast with folk from the techy side of the internet.
I’ve been doing a podcast called Apparatus in Slovene for a while now and when I started with English speaking guests it made sense to do a separate feed/site for any listeners who want to subscribe and do not speak Slovene so they can get just the English speaking episodes. That’s how the Storming Mortal podcast was born.
The frequency of the shows here is pretty sporadic since my English speaking guests are dispersed between my Slovene guests.
I am a writer for the most read Slovene tech magazine Monitor (think PC/Macworld in Slovene) and I am the online editor of Val 202 a public radio station in Slovenia. I also do a tech show there with Maruša Kerec called Odbita do bita.
The conversations I have with my guests go something like this – My first question is always “Who are you and what do you do?”.
A friendly conversation
Then I ask about what hardware and software they use and my last question is always “What was the one physical thing that you own or have owned that felt like it was made for you”. Besides the obvious iPhone or iPad answer, I’ve gotten answers like the electric kettle or a space heater. So anything goes.
Thank you for visiting.
And yes, I do sometimes sound like a Eastern-european Bond villain.
